James Temple - Digital Photography

After 45 years of experience in visual communications, design, illustration, advertising, photography, fine art and the culinary arts, James now photographs the people, landscapes and abundant tropical flowers on the Hawaiian island of Moloka'i.

Most of the photographs shown here were digitally re-mastered to reach their final state of appearance. He uses his design skills to crop then retouch the photographs in a way that best creates flow and movement within the frame. He manipulates color saturation, contrast and texture, creating an image that almost looks like a fine art painting.
